A Trip to Chicago !!! My Son Graduated Navy Bootcamp !!! YEA !!!!

What a city!!!! We had a BLAST in Chicago. I am so proud of my son, he has graduated Navy Boot camp, and now is in school for 14 weeks to become a medic. We spent all weekend with him, fed him as much steak as he could handle, and took him site seeing....... I think he just wanted to sleep. We arrived back in town on Monday. Chicago was fun, but we are glad to be home.

Well, I am in Rockport watching the weather. We will get wind and rain, but hopefully not much more than that. They have just spotted a water spout in Corpus, and have announced that everyone in the downtown area should take cover ASAP. WOW !!!! Wish me luck, if I see a water spout you know I will taking photo's of it, right before I run for cover. :)

Hello Everyone ! Well, it's been a really busy few weeks. Here is what I have been up to.....The children's book, "Grandma's Wish" is finally finished, and will be in production in China in the next few weeks. I will let everyone know when the finished product arrives. Steve and I photographed Shannon and Becky's wedding, and had a BLAST, thanks guys. I am also crazy busy with 2008 Senior portraits. I still have a few openings during the week in April, but all weekends are already booked. So if you still need Senior Portraits-call me quick ! :)

My Children-Carissa & Ashton Bennett

Well since I have shown you "My Soul Mate", my husband of 8 years- Johnny. I thought I would introduce my children. Carissa is 14, and Ashton is 17 going on 18 this summer. Ashton will be graduating in May and leaving for the Navy on June 17. Wish him luck and help me pray that he graduates...........He has gotten alittle Senioritis lately!

Well........ Easter Pictures are done ! Thank You everyone! I had a great time. All of the kids were GREAT !!! Pictures will be ready to pick up at Lil Bugs between 10am and 6pm on Thursday.
I will try to keep everyone updated on future portrait sessions at Lil Bugs. Oh... Be sure to thank Athema for letting us use her storefont.

I will be taking Easter pictures at Lil Bugs on March 14th and 15th. Athema (owner of Lil Bugs) will be bringing a REAL BUNNY ! Yea!!!!

Intro

Hello everyone ! I am going to try to keep everyone informed of changes as they happen to Dawn's Photography.
1. Newest change is the addition of a second photographer to the Wedding Packages. His name is Steve Leibovitz, and he is an extremely knowledgeable and skilled photographer as well a great guy. His specialty is ACTION, ACTION, ACTION........ and of course that ever popular photo journalistic style. Steve has been the sports photographer for the Seguin Sports Booster Club for the last 10 years or so. He has taken all of the sports photos for the Seguin School District, including football,basketball,track and all the other sporting events that you can think of. I truly believe that his knowledge, skill and personality will be a wonderful addition to my wedding photography.
2. The second biggest news is the closing of my office at the Aumont. I rarely used my studio, preferring to use natural light and awesome outside backdrops instead, and have decided that closing the office doors would be best. I have converted my den into my office and really Love working from home. How great is it to work in your pajamas. I can meet clients in my home, but would prefer to meet at my new favorite spot Chiro Java. This stylish coffee shop has the most eclectic and casual deco with plenty of space for meetings or get togethers, and of course they have all the coffee flavors you could ever imagine. I am including the link to their website so you will have the address and menu at your disposal.
3. I have recently decided to close part of my photography business. I will no longer be photographing children, or families. Instead I will concentrate on Weddings, Engagement and Bridal portraits. I will continue photographing graduating seniors during certain months of the year. I will honor outstanding sessions for the 1 year Baby Portrait sessions. I will soon be recommending a children's photographer for future inquiries.

I want to thank everyone for making my 1st year in business a Fabulous Year. I couldn't have done it without each and every one of you. Y'all have been Great !
